For this assignment, we had to create an editorial illustration for an article of our choice. I decided to pick an article about "phantom islands", which are islands that were presumed to be real, but don't actually exist.
I first did some research on National Geographic and phantom islands and wrote down everything that correlates to it.
I then created some concepts and three different styleboards to see what would match the article the most. I decided that style 2 would be the best fitted for the article.

We also had to create a mock-up of the illustration next to the article itself. I struggled with this a lot at first, but it helped to use InDesign to make the text more organized.
